May - Eb Tuba incorrectly cut. Play entire piece

May - Bb Tuba - Possibly play 1st movement only TBC

May - Concerto for horn publisher incorrectly advised. should be R Smith & Co

May 6th - Open Euphonium Test: Cut finally announced by QBA: Cut: V to X, with the pianist playing the pick up into X.

May - David Kurthi (ACT) announced as Drill Adjudicator for the Parade of Bands.

April - Bb Tuba Solo Test - play to bar 120 only

April - Euphonium solo to be shortened TBA

April - The MAB of the QBA intends to shorten some of the longer solos' test pieces. Details will be published here when available.

Mar - The On-Stage Music Championship for Brass Bands will be awarded to the band gaining the highest aggregate score in:

·         Test Piece                           200 points

·         Sacred/Reflective Item            50 points

·         Own Choice Selection           200 points

·         Stage March                          50 points (Stage March now included in the aggregate)

It is a condition of entry for Open Grade Brass Bands in the On-Stage Music Championship that Bands participate in the Parade of Bands.
