The Rum City Jazz Band was formed in June 2005. The band has enjoyed immediate
success no boasting a full band and booking many performances from Charity
Variety Concerts to Council Cocktail Parties.
The
Jazz Band will be performing at the Promenade Deck at the Streetscape Esplanade
on the beach at Bargara on the second Sunday afternoon of each month. The dates
for 2006 are: 7th May, 9th July, 13th August, 10th September, 8th October, 12th
November and 10th December.
The
band plays wide variety of music from 'In The Mood' and 'Rock Around The Clock' to 'I'm
A Believer' and 'Born To Be Wild'.
The band is currently looking to fill a positions vacant on Guitar. The band welcomes new members in all section though.
