“FESTIVAL OF BRASS” COMPETITION - NAMBOUR
19th OCTOBER, 2008
The Nambour ON Stage events will be as per previous years - 20 minute
concert programme including a Sacred/Reflective Item
played in any order.
Music Adjudicator: Mr John Thomas.
Inspection Adjudicators: Steve Lawrence & Kevin Wendt
Drill Adjudicator: Paul Sullivan
The street march will follow the same format as previous years,
marching along Matthew Street, gate counter at the end and returning
to the halfway point.

2009 will see two
QBA sponsored Youth camps.
The first QBA
Youth Brass Band will be in conjunction with the McGregor
Summer School in Toowoomba. It will be held in early January
2009. The official programme will be available soon. Please
let the QBA secretary know if you would like some sent out to
your band. They will also be available at the Nambour
Festival of Brass. Musical Director for this camp will be
Richard Evans
from the UK.
The other QBA
Youth Brass Band camp will be held in the second week of
the June/July school holidays 2009. This camp will be run in
conjunction with the Maryborough Music Conference and
Education Queensland. Details for this camp will be available
next month. We are also seeking expressions of interest for
House Parents for this camp which will be held in
Maryborough. Please let the QBA secretary know if you are
interested.
